Collary and Coogee

Combination photo's of both beaches we've visted in the past few weeks. As an aside we were at the park the other day and an old lady walked past and commented (as people do) on Aston's beautiful hair and curls, at which point he started swishing his hair about on the swing like a supermodel. I of course had to crack up laughing which just encouraged him even more.

Collary beach

Where Aston loved runing into the water and back out again squeeling in delight, so much so that a lovely, leathery old man commented on how GORGEOUS he is!

Knocking it down

The kitchen and arch removed, the third bedroom removed.

The enormous shower in the laundry that was not waterproof as you can see by the rot in the gyprock removed.

Part of the ceiling removed for the new beam

More finished than this!

An update, the floorboards are now stained and we have moved back in, the new wall in the old lounge room that is now Darrens' room is in place, with doors, (though he did have to spend the first few nights without a door) and the dishwasher has been put back in place. No longer the centre piece of the house!

Q. Where are we now!

A. At Lugarno

That's right, apologies for the lack of posts in the past 10 days but we have had walls, doors, parts of the roof, and floors demolished and rebuilt over the past 10 days and have up until Monday of this week been living in a building site.

The decision was made to move out on the Monday for two weeks to assist in having the house put back together in a reasonable timeframe before Darren arrives. We're running a little close to the wire on our timings to have things done before he gets here, and at a minumum obviously need a floor to walk on and a room for him (much less us) to sleep in.

So stay tuned as the floors were finished being laid yesterday and the Bedroom wall is going up today and tomorrow. It will probably be another week before we are back in action with the blog updates, but rest assured we've taken plenty of photos of the process, and Aston along the way so will have loads to update. He especially enjoyed watching the big truck with the crane on the end of it loading the floorboards down our driveway.
