Enjoying himself in the UK

Aston had an amazing time in the UK where every day was full of fun, laughs, climbing stairs with his nan and grandpop and terrorising poor Billy in a desperate attempt to catch is tail. Above Aston laughs at some of the stinky animals at Beale Park.

Here he is helping with the sweeping ... but which brush should I use...

And enjoying the English Playgroups where some snotty nosed kid gave him a cold, which he nicely passed on to Brenda, Rob and I.

First real swim in a pool

In pilchers a happy and Singlet Aston was outfitted in the lastest of children's swimwear essentials to splash around in the Pool area at Glen & Cheri's apartment. And boy did he enjoy himself.

That's my Dubai bosses foot he's grabbing here

This place is way Cool!

All available to enjoy at the Kids play room in Glen & Cheri's apartment, we felt it was safer to have him stay down here as much as possible than terrorise the apartment with the view to breaking, chewing or licking on all the more adult play equiptment like phones, answer machines, DVD's etc etc ....

Riding along in my automobile

Glen & Cheri's apartment block had a really cool kids play area where Aston took a fancy to the fancy cars parked there ... we couldn't get him out of the Silver one so here's only a few sample shots of him checking out the gears and horn and stuff

His 1st ever Birthday Party

Once he woke up Aston really enjoyed his 1st every Birthday Party and even got to try a bit of chicken Nugget's for the first time ... which he LOVED.

Maisy kept offering him some fairy floss and though she got close to jabbing it in his mouth a few times i was able to avoid the unnecessary sugar hit.

As with every hat we try and get him to wear he only really tolerated the party hat for about 40 seconds, enough time to get a picture

Though he thought the rest of the Luau festivities where a hoot

Friday Brunch Dubai Style

I'll have the prawns ...

The crab and some lobster

What do you mean I get a straw to chew on and a bit of hommous on bread.

Aston was a star for the Friday brunch, even took a 1 hour sleep in his stroller so I could enjoy some of the day, though it was very hot and easy to spot the Aussie kid at the brunch as he was the only one running around in a nappy and singlet. Though the heat did wear him out and he took a short nap on the way back to Maisy's birthday party, for which we had to carry his heavy lordship, asleep in the car seat through a busy shopping mall. Here he is in a quiet spot.

Travelling the world

All things considered Aston travelled very well for us between Sydney, London oops READING and Dubai. Here he is above checking out the quality inflight entertainment channels offered by Emirates.

Over 100 movies you say? Meanwhile Rob is checking out the tasty 4000 calorie meals he'll be served over the next 14.5 hours. On the flight from Sydney to Dubai Aston slept 9 hours. Excellent, he was almost as good for the 7 hour flight to London .... Almost.

Here he is in the posh Emirates Lounge in London ... he was definately NOT the best baby on the trip back from London to Dubai, sleeping at total of about 40 mins for the overnight flight. A very tired boy at the end of the trip.

Sampling the food on offer thanks the that great label HIPP Organic and Glen & Cheri for picking up such tasty morsels for him to enjoy while in Dubai and on the Trip home Aston proudly sports his I've flown Emirates bib which is plastic backed ... and all. He was also just OK on this flight back to Syd but not the worst baby on board. It's a tall ask to get him to sleep on the return leg as it's a daytime flight anyway.

This park place is the pip

A saying from his favourite and let's face it only show he's allowed to watch. In the night garden where everything is the pip.
