A current favourite

We've been doing a lot of swimming lately, finally we registered Aston at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre where for $7 a week he and one adult gets multiple entry to the swim centre and one swim lesson a week, and because it runs all year and they automatically enrol you in the next season of swim classes it's not the stop-start summer thing we were doing before.

It's better for Aston as well, given his personality is a funny mix of shy and showy - one thing I notice with him is that it takes a long time for him to warm up to something, before he'll really think about participating, so as expected, it's really only been this second season of swim lessons where he's shown a willingness to participate, listen and learn.

Playing in the water of course is an entirely different thing, if its with Mom and Dad and playing in the water he has always loved it. In fact he loves any opportunity to turn on a tap, play with water or make a splash.

Aston's hair after a wash - it has had a home made hair snip since this picture because it was pretty wild
